Move-In Day Introductions

Hey y'all (:

I thought I'd do a rather quick and random post to introduce the newest additions to my bookshelf to you - some of these I've acquired as early as December, some of them as late as early February, but this seemed like a fun little thing to blog about. I will also do my best to include any "new" additions to my kindle - but I have been rather awful at keeping track of those. I shall do a better job in the future (;

Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher has been my latest purchase and is the book I am currently reading. I know I included it in my recent "currently reading" post and normally I would already be done with it - it's really hard to put this read down! - but I have been battling the flu for about two weeks now. Sick equals lots of time to read you'd think, but... when you have to reread each sentence seven times because you can't focus on anything, it doesn't do you any good.

Can't wait to share my thoughts on this one though!

You can find Never Never on amazon by clicking here.

Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover is one of my most favorite novellas. Ever. Which is why my sister got me a paperback copy for Christmas - I am one of those people who actually prefer physical copies but will definitely read both.

I have recently reread this gem and have posted a little review.

Yes, I know what you're thinking: more by Colleen Hoover?!
As you might or might not have already noticed, I just looooove her writing! Which is why I treated myself to paperback copies of her novels Slammed and Point of Retreat when I found them on sale. I was a little bummed when I received that version of Slammed rather than the one that had been advertised, the one matching the Point of Retreat one - the U.S. one - buuuut... the story's the same, so who am I to complain?

Looking for Alaska by John Green is another one of the books that I mentioned in my recent "currently reading" post. I am just about done with it and cannot wait to talk about it!

Find Looking for Alaska on amazon.

The Mortal Instruments, Book Two - City of Ashes - by Cassandra Clare. Two years ago, by brother had gotten me the first book in the series for Christmas - and since I still hadn't purchased book two by last Christmas, he got it for me. (:
I am looking forward to diving back into the world of The Mortal Instruments - and who knows? My brother might turn this into a gifting-tradition until I own the full series! (;

Ben Elton's Dead Famous - the reason why I purchased this might actually make you laugh. Excerpts from this book were part of my English final last fall. They made it sound like a really interesting story, so I went and looked for the book online - and came across rebuy, an online store selling, amonst other things, used books. I paid 0,99€ for it, rather than the 11,57€ it would have been on other pages. And guess what? -  The book looks like it has never been read before.

While I was living in Hamburg (Germany) to complete my finals, I had several flatmates. One of them was Stefan (hi, Stefan!), who was, at the time we were living together, reading The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. I have to yet start reading it, but Stefan kept recommending, so I just couldn't say no while I was browsing rebuy - and got it for just 2,29€.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad - my motivation for this purchase was a quote I had read somewhere while researching something... I shall share it once I have stumbled across in the book! (;

Heart of Darkness was another one of my rebuy-purchases - at just 0,99€.

Find it on amazon.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I have not seen the movie, but this book was recommended to me by a fellow applicant at a job interview. She seemed to really like it, and once I had stumbled across it on my rebuy spree for just 1,59€, I figured I should give it a read!

Find Gone Girl on amazon.

the short second life of bree tanner by Stephenie Meyer

Like many, I was a huge fan of the Twilight series years ago - but I haven't reopened the books in what feels like forever. Yet, I just couldn't not get this novella at just 0,99€ (rebuy - again! - it will be the death of my savings!), because I am one of those people who want to finish a series once they've started it, and this is the only one of the books I haven't read yet.

Get it on amazon.

Blank books!
I got these three pretties for Christmas, to put down my own words. I just love writing, so these come in very handy! Nothing to review there, obviously, but I loved the designs so much I just wanted to share them with you.

Recent additions to my kindle:

Life After You by K.E. Taylor
I received this as a free review-copy from the author. Click the title to get to my review.

Snow Flakes by K.E. Taylor
After I had read Life After You I just had to have more, so I went ahead and downloaded this novella from amazon. Click the title to get to my review.

Leo (Sign of Love Book 1) by Mia Sheridan (which is currently FREE on amazon!)
A friend of mine recommended this, so I cannot wait to see what it is all about!

Debt Inheritance (Indebted Book 1) by Pepper Winters (which is currently FREE on amazon!)
This book has really bad reviews on amazon, but a facebook friend of mine recommended it, so I figured I might as well give it a try despite the reviews on amazon - it was, after all, free - so no loss either way!
