"50 Shades of Grey" movie adaption

While this is only remotely book-related... wait, whom am I kidding?!

With trailers and TV-spots surfacing everywhere, it's kind of hard to stay "spoiler-free". I would assume that the majority of those who are going to watch the movie in cinemas have actually read the books - so have I. My Mom however (yes, I did just say "my Mom") - who has just gotten us tickets to see the 50 Shades of Grey movie adaption on February 15th - has not. She does know what it's about, because she usually is my guess what I've just read and here's what it's all about go-to person, and because... well... quite a few of her customers and friends have read it and have told her about it as well. Despite the differences in what she has been told (it has always surprised me just how many people seem to remember nothing but the playroom scenes), she has so far succeeded at not caving and reading the books - so it will be interesting to see how someone who hasn't read the books is responsing to the movie.

I have to admit that my restraint wasn't good enough to keep myself from watching trailers and/or TV-spots... I have seen the first two official movie trailers, as well as two of the TV-spots - damn you, instragram, damn you - so tempting, and so easy to blame.
Either way, I am really looking forward to see how the movie has turned out! Luckily, we got tickets to an English screening, so I won't be wincing quite as much as when a friend of mine read parts of the German books to me; have any of you read the English and German versions of the books? If so, what were your thoughts on some of the translations? Hot or not?

P.S.: Attention UK-fans! Here is your chance to win tickets to the London premiere!
